Trousers For Different Occasions

Sometimes it can be difficult to decide what the appropriate trousers are to wear to certain occasions. Levels of formality vary greatly, and dress codes are, therefore, easily misunderstood. Not so many people know how smart casual is? This article is meant to guide men to decide what men’s trousers can and cannot be worn for varying occasions like job interviews, exhibition openings and more. It is meant to stop men from making major fashion delinquencies, and causing themselves discomfort.

Chinos

Chinos are a comfortable style of trousers that are amazingly multipurpose. Depending on their fit and colour, they can be worn to occasions from casual to smart casual, including most jobs. They make a perfect outfit when they are dressed down with a pair of trainers and a graphic T-shirt. Alternatively, you can also decide to match them up with a button-front shirt tucked into a leather belt, and a pair of leather shoes. Soldiers originally wore chinos during wars and training sessions, so comfort and durability are obvious features in them. Chinos are generally suitable for: most jobs, evening bar and club outings, exhibition openings, weekends, interviews for casual jobs or the creative industries. They are inappropriate for offices that operate a strict business clothing policy and for formal parties.

Linen Trousers

Linen trousers are one of the most comfortable styles of men`s trousers. Their design features a light and breezy touch with bright colour tones. Therefore, they are great for hot summer months. They can be paired with classic T-shirts or polos for a smart casual look. Like chinos, this type of men’s trousers can also be dressed up a bit with a button-front shirt. Linen trousers are suitable for museum visits, restaurants, office jobs and cruises. They are, however unsuitable for formal parties, winter and interviews.

Jeans

Jeans are made of a clothing design; material called denim comes in so many different shapes, sizes, colours and styles. It was originally used to make clothing, especially men’s casual trousers for those men who liked and associated with the rap music community. After being woven to a pair of jeans, the article is chemically washed to make it softer and to lessen or completely eliminate shrinkage, which could cause the jeans trouser not to fit properly after its owner washes it. To make it even better, the same washed denim jeans are sometimes artificially distressed, so as to give it a “worn” appearance. Artificial distressed denim resembles dry denim, which has faded. Jeans made from dry denim fade according to the effects created by different parts of the body of the person who wears them and by the activities of his or her daily life. This creates what most enthusiasts deem to be a more “natural” look than the look of artificially distressed denim. The most classic dark tones and conservative jeans fits without any bleach or rip effects can be worn to many office settings and evening events. Unfortunately, no jeans are suitable to be worn for formal occasions or office-based job interviews. Jeans form a great part of men’s casual trousers suitable for evening’s outs and events and weekends.

Suit Trousers

In theory, men could possibly wear suit trousers every day because they are generally a fashion classic. However, you might feel out of place in some non-formal, occasional settings, and it would be a shame to wear out such a nice pair of trousers that often do not come cheap. This type of men’s trousers is suitable for offices that operate strict business-only dress codes, formal parties and for interviews.
